Cleaning &Texturing: Wafers undergo a meticulous cleaning process using industrial soaps to form square-based pyramids, known as texture. This texturization significantly reduces sunlight reflection, thereby enhancing energy efficiency.
Diffusion: Pre-doped with boron during casting, the wafers are then endowed with a negative (n-type) surface characteristic through high-temperature diffusion using a phosphorus source. This process establishes the essential negative/positive (n-p) junction.
Etching : During phosphorus diffusion, unwanted PN junctions may form on the wafer sides and opposite surface, creating shunt paths between the cell front and rear. These paths are meticulously removed through etching, effectively isolating the edge/junction.
PECVD : Applying PECVD technology, wafers are coated with an anti-reflection layer (ARC) of blue silicon nitride film, which significantly reduces reflection and maximizes light absorption.
Printing & Heating: Electrodes on silicon solar cells are printed using advanced screen technology, ensuring an optimal ohmic contact for superior performance.
Testing & Sorting: Cells are classified based on their efficiency, tested meticulously under simulated sunlight conditions.
